Modification of the railway installations of the Arnaud Junction sector Installations ferroviaires du secteur de la jonction Arnaud

The ore transportation generated by Bloom Lake uses the Quebec North Shore and Labrador (QNS&L) railway to then transition at the Junction where it uses the Arnaud Railway Company (ARC) railway to the Pointe-Noire facilities. Back in the days, IOC Rio Tinto, Wabush Mine and Consolidated Thompson (CLM) shared the Arnaud Junction sector to transport their ore to its respective port. The mandate thereby consisted in modifying the railway installations of the Arnaud Junction sector to increase the autonomy of CLM.
